<p>El 14 de enero de 2010, en la Grosser Saal del mítico Musikverein de Viena, la compositora y cantante cubana, Milagros Piñera Ibaceta, presentó su propuesta “Salsa Sinfónica”. En la gran sala dorada, famosa por ofrecer la mejor acústica del mundo, Andrés Orozco-Estrada dirigió a la Orquesta Tonkünstler en un viaje por la música tradicional y las nuevas tendencias. Bajo su batuta sonaron los primeros acordes del tema <em>Pensamientos</em>, compuesto por la artista para orquesta. Así se inició un concierto donde los presentes pudieron disfrutar de temas tan célebres como <em>Alfonsina y el Mar</em> del argentino Ariel Ramírez, <em>Volver a los diecisiete</em> popularizada por Mercedes Sosa, o la hermosa <em>Dos gardenias</em>… Temas de toda la vida y de compositores actuales -todos ellos arreglados por Milagros- que a lo largo del concierto se fueron entrelazando y mezclando con las composiciones propias de la artista. Milagros apareció en el escenario haciendo gala de una innata solidez musical que confirmó con cada canción. Su voz se adueñó de una sala abarrotada, transportando a todos a lugares más cálidos al ritmo de salsa, bolero, chachachá o danzón&#8230; Con sencillez y ternura, la artista desarmó a un público con fama de difícil, poniéndolo en pié gracias al resorte de su talento. Los emocionados aplausos pasaban de la ovación a convertirse en un instrumento más de percusión. El tema <em>Fuera del pastel</em> fue el último regalo que Milagros y la orquesta ofrecieron a un respetable con ganas de más. El cierre a una hora y media llena de sonrisas, complicidad y sorpresas, donde Milagros Piñera Ibaceta no hizo más que ser ella misma, y enamorar.    (Edelmira Campos Núñez)</p>

The cajón walks around Spanish Harlem with the NY Sound looking for their roots.
